Udaipur to Club Mahindra Kumbhalgarh Taxi

Udaipur to Club Mahindra Kumbhalgarh Taxi

The Club Mahindra resort at Kumbhalgarh sits about 85 km from Udaipur, roughly two and a quarter hours by road, up through the Aravalli hills past Gogunda. We run this transfer regularly – it is one of the most common resort runs out of Udaipur – with pickup from Udaipur airport, Udaipur City railway station or any hotel in the city.

The practical reason to pre-book rather than find a cab on arrival: the last stretch is a winding hill road, resort check-in is mid-afternoon, and there is very little passing traffic to hail once you are off the highway.

Getting There: What to Know

Flight arrivals. If you are flying into Udaipur, we track your flight and meet you at the terminal, then run straight through to the resort – about two and a half hours. Tell us the flight number when you book. See our Udaipur airport taxi page.

Vehicle choice matters here. The last 20 km climbs and winds. A sedan is fine for two people travelling light, but a family of four with luggage is noticeably more comfortable in an Ertiga or Innova, and anyone prone to motion sickness should take the larger vehicle and sit forward.

Timing. Resort check-in is usually mid-afternoon. Leaving Udaipur around midday gets you there without a wait; leaving at 8 am means sitting in a lobby. Conversely, if you have an evening flight out, allow three hours from the resort to the airport rather than two and a half.

What to Do While You Are There

Most guests book the resort and then wonder what fills the days. The answer is that Kumbhalgarh is better placed than it looks:

Place Distance from the resort What it is
Kumbhalgarh Fort 8 km UNESCO site with the second-longest continuous wall in the world, 36 km of it. Allow 3 hours.
Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary Adjacent Leopard, wolf, sloth bear and the Aravalli forest. Jeep safaris run from near the fort.
Ranakpur Jain Temple About 50 km 1,444 carved marble pillars, no two alike. One of the finest Jain temples in India.
Haldighati About 60 km The 1576 battlefield, Chetak cenotaph and Maharana Pratap museum.
Nathdwara About 55 km Shrinathji Temple, a major Vaishnav pilgrimage site.
Jawai About 100 km Leopard country, granite hills and a growing number of safari camps.

We can keep the car and driver with you for the duration rather than just dropping you, which on a hill resort with little local transport is usually the sensible arrangement. Tell us how many days and we will quote it that way.

One Way or Round Trip?

We quote both. On a one-way drop the car still has to return empty, and that empty leg – dead mileage – is built into most one-way fares in Rajasthan. Where we can pair your drop with a passenger travelling the other way it disappears and the fare comes down, which is why it is worth giving us a specific date rather than assuming the per-km rate times the distance is final.

What we will not do is quote one figure and add the return leg as a surprise at the end of the journey. See our Udaipur outstation taxi page for all routes.

Frequently Asked Questions: Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh Resort Transfer

Distance, airport pickup, vehicle choice and what to do nearby.

How far is Club Mahindra Kumbhalgarh from Udaipur?
About 85 km from Udaipur city, roughly two and a quarter hours, or about 105 km and two and a half hours from Udaipur airport at Dabok. The final 20 km is a winding hill road.
Can you pick me up from Udaipur airport and drop me at the resort?
Yes, and it is one of our regular runs. Give us your flight number and we track the arrival, meet you at the terminal and drive straight through, about two and a half hours.
How much is a taxi from Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh resort?
Quoted on our per-kilometre rates – from ₹12/km for a sedan, ₹16/km for an Ertiga or Innova, ₹18–20/km for an Innova Crysta – with fuel, driver allowance, state tax and toll included. Call +91 86193 15547 for a firm figure for your date.
Which vehicle should I book for this route?
For two people with light luggage a sedan is fine. For a family of four with suitcases, take an Ertiga or Innova – the last stretch climbs and winds, and the extra space makes a real difference. If anyone in the group gets motion sick, take the larger vehicle.
What time should I leave Udaipur?
Around midday. Resort check-in is usually mid-afternoon, so an early start just means waiting in a lobby. For a departure, allow three hours back to Udaipur airport rather than two and a half, to leave room for the hill road.
What is there to do around Kumbhalgarh?
Kumbhalgarh Fort is 8 km away – a UNESCO site with 36 km of continuous wall, the second longest in the world. The wildlife sanctuary adjoins it, Ranakpur Jain Temple is about 50 km, and Haldighati and Nathdwara are both within about 60 km.
Can the car and driver stay with us for the whole stay?
Yes, and on a hill resort with little local transport that is usually the sensible arrangement. Tell us how many days and we will quote the vehicle for the duration rather than as two separate transfers.
Is the road to Kumbhalgarh difficult?
Not difficult, but it is a hill road for the last 20 km, with bends and gradients. Our drivers run it regularly. It is worth knowing if you are prone to motion sickness or travelling with small children.
Are you affiliated with the resort?
No. We are an independent taxi and tour operator providing transport to Kumbhalgarh. We are not affiliated with, and do not act on behalf of, any resort or holiday-club operator – book your stay directly with them and your transport with us.
How do I book the transfer?
WhatsApp +91 99838 89373 or email rajasthanonwheeltours@gmail.com with your date, pickup point and time, flight number if you are flying in, passenger count and luggage. A 25% advance confirms the vehicle.
